Kim Youngblood — Founder

Kim Youngblood is the CEO at Youngblood’s Natural Animal Care Center & Massage.  Kim is a graduate of Equissage in Virginia and obtained her certification in canine and feline massage therapy in 2014. She also graduated from Angel’s Animals Holistic Care in March of 2018.

Kim has had animals her entire life and used to breed, raise, and show Newfoundland’s very successfully. Her horse Sage is an important part of her life, and she loves trail riding with her daughter Samantha.

Her goals are to help your animals reach their optimal health the natural way and to empower you as the owner. Her prayer is that God will use her hands and talent to improve your animal’s health and life. She views the owners as more than clients, but as friends and partners in their animal’s care.

When Kim isn’t busy massaging animals or working at the store, you will find her gardening, at the gym, working around the farm, sewing, and spending time with her husband Dave of 39 years and her daughter Samantha.

Jacque Powers — Nutrition Specialist & Marketing

I grew up in a small town in Kansas graduating from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. I moved to Indiana and received my Master of Arts in Journalism from Ball State University. After moving to Indianapolis, I spent 25 years in corporate marketing and communications while raising my two girls, Ali and Liv, with my husband Mark.

Our family fell in love with Golden Retrievers when we brought home our first – her name was “Boogger.” Yep – that’s what you get when you let your 9-year-old name the family dog. Never just a “one-dog family,” we currently have two Goldens – Reggie and Charly. Liv and I spend a lot of time training for and traveling to both AQHA horse shows and AKC Obedience Trials.

I was introduced to the “Youngblood Culture” at their Riley Days booth before they even had a store front and have become one of their biggest fans. With my family raised and having done “adequate time” in the corporate world, I decided to join the Youngblood team out of a great love for my dogs and a real curiosity for providing them with the best of life through natural, holistic care and nutrition.

Julie Dunigan — Nutrition Specialist

I am so thrilled to be working at Youngblood’s Natural Animal Care Center and Massage. Let me tell you a little about myself: I grew up on a farm with many adopted animals - cats, horses and dogs. I learned at a young age to take care of all the animals first. It was my job on the farm to feed all the animals before I ate my breakfast. I love animal husbandry and I get so much joy from animals of all kinds!

My husband and I have a Cockapoo named Wesley who is 12 years old. I am so excited because we have noticed that he has had more energy now that I switched his dog food and feed him “Nature’s Logic” canned dog food combined with “Primal Raw Pork Topper’s.” Wesley, my dog, has also tried and liked “Dr. Harvey’s Veg -to- Bowl” and he loves “SmallBatch” dog patties. (All of these are sold at Youngblood’s)

What a positive difference this food has made for him!

I was encouraged to see how quickly my dog started feeling better and having more energy and enthusiasm after I switched from (a dry kibble that I bought at Walmart) to natural food sold at Youngblood’s Natural Animal Care Center and Massage. The movie/documentary called Pet Fooled and the positive changes I have seen in my dog’s health, inspired me to learn more about nutrition. I decided to enroll in classes at Dogs Naturally University. This year I received my certificate for the Pet Food Nutrition Specialist Program. I am currently enrolled in the Acute Canine Herbalism class.

My husband is a licensed falconer. He helps Birds of Prey learn how to be successful in the wild by teaching /training the birds how to hunt. Our goal is for the hawk to be a successful hunter and survivor in the wild when released. I have had the privilege of working alongside and helping my husband with several Redtail Hawks and an American Kestrel. I have learned a lot along the way! We experienced the joy of helping an injured hawk recover and gain the experience it needed over the course of a year until we were able to release it back to the wild when he was healed and strong. Through these experiences I have learned perseverance and I am still learning something new each day.

It is such a joy to work at Youngblood’s Natural Animal Care Center and Massage!  Thank you for taking your time to read more about me. I look forward to meeting you at Youngblood’s Natural Animal Care Center and Massage!
